Had a few more games against Gavin and his wood elves, one ended up in a 20 loss and the other was aboot a 15-5 win. Strangely enough, the army that I won with was just an army I thought I would use for wees and giggles. The main focus was a big sixty man longbeard ranger squad with Master Rune of Grugni, shields, and GW's, along with 29 hammers, BSB, gyrocopter, two organ guns, cannon and an Anvil of doom.
What basically happened was my army just sat and watched my longbeards just anvil charge into everything (I scouted them right behind the entire wood elf army and then anviled them into the Treekin, after that it was all down hill for the pointy ears!) While my cannon shot a few stuff and my organ guns waited in false anticipation. But my gyro did managed to burn an entire unit of archers, and also manged to run down a great eagle and another unit of archers. I used my hammerers to simply guard my Anvil while, but in hindsight I should have used them to support the longbeards. Battle of the Pass was the scenario so it did sorta help play into my plan of using my longbeards for the entire push while everything else was point filler. But they did die and 855pts were given up lol.
I figure the only reason this army worked was because of how the wood elves are played, but in any other circumstance, most other armies would have just brushed the longbeards off.
As for the other game, we played Meeting Engagement, and every dice roll I did for deployment was just crap. All the warmachines ended up in a corner, while one warriors block was in the other, needless to say I just played in a "Balls to the wall and just 'ran it' at the elves.
Though, the Highborn on Dragon is pretty meaty, the dragon its self has a 3+ ward! It managed to kill an organ gun, grudge thrower, cannon, and a group of warriors!
Warhammer Fantasy, Magic the Gathering, Flames of War and Warmachine. Canadian style, down under!

Old Glory M10's
My two packets of M10 Tank Destoryers from old glroy (six in total) just arrived today, put them together, basecoated and painted/drybrushed the tracks at the moment. And I must say, there really nice models, and the price is really worth it two, I think I spend a total of 35-40 dollars for both packets. I only needed four of them, one of the spare is going to a friend, and that leaves me with one spare.
Ill put up some pics when I'm finished painting them, which will be Tuesday at the earliest because thats when I can get the preverd paints for the allied scheme colour scheme I want.
Next order will be three Staurt V's (M3A3's) for my Recce platoon then next will come four Sexton SPG's then thirteen Shermans and Three Fireflys.

A few more dead Wood Elves
Had a few more games against Gavin and his Wood Elves, Won the first game 20-0 and lost the second game 16-4 due to me being bored and wanting to deploy my warmachines BY THEMSELVES!
But yea, really fun games and I really enjoyed my self.
His army consisted of a BSB, Level 4 Beasts general, and an elf that shoots five shots on twos! (I think it was a waywatcher lord?) two units 5 Glade Guard, 30 Archers, 6 Treekin, 24 Dryads, a great eagle, and 6 waywatchers.
Again, really fun game and a good way to spend the afternoon.
On another note, saw the results from NiCon, with Peter Dunn at the top, fantastic stuff Pete. And the only Dwarf player in the middle, which is rather good for Dwarfs if you haven't yet caught on - Dwarfs in the middle means (in our minds anyways) we came FIRST!
But congrats to all the winners and I am sure they had an awesome time ;D
